Item - Night of the Necromancer

Intriguing book.

I have to wonder how many other people get this second chance in Titan. Your death was caused by very special circumstances, so you may return to Titan from the spirit world to get revenge.

There is plenty of original work here, but also twists on concepts used in other stories both in and out of Fighting Fantasy.

The riddle about hunting bands and Analand is a twist on an old mathematical puzzle, but I didn't know it at the time. It can still catch you out though!

Some of the creatures e.g. the Necros are new. I have to wonder what the Necros is, whether a deliberate trap or just a weird creature.

The Coldclaw and Hellhorns are back. Hellhorns previously appeared in Amarillia from Legend of Zagor. So, did they come from Amarillia first, but the Winter King brought them to Titan? Or did they come from Titan first and Zagor took them with him to Amarillia? Or did they evolve naturally on both worlds? Hmm. Meanwhile, it appears that Coldclaws are just predators that live in the cold, as shown in Trial of Champions.

A character who could be the player character in another book, Marrok the Crusader, can be a problem in this book. I have to ask, how would player characters in other FF books react to the player character in this book? Badly, most likely.

One thing that's odd. Somehow, you only know your dog's name if someone else tells you. I'm still unsure how that works. Your character is a war veteran in a fantasy world, so perhaps they just forgot?
