| Guillermo's Thoughts: |
Ricard Ibáñez is no stranger to solitaire adventures, having written several for his iconic roleplaying game Aquelarre, as well as a standalone gamebook. This introductory adventure for his rolegame based on the popular series of novels by Arturo Pérez-Reverte reminds me of Seven Ayes by Ken St. Andre, which is also set in a tavern (though the story reviewed here is longer and offers the player more options). Figón is quite fun to play, and is not as frustratingly difficult as the aforementioned Tunnels & Trolls solo (though it is no cakewalk, either). It's not an essential read, but it can be a good way to kill an hour. |
