| Guillermo's Thoughts: |
This, the final solo adventure for the first edition of Aquelarre, takes the game outside its default medieval Spain setting, taking place in a fantasy horror version of the Renaissance era instead. It's quite a good game, with several different plotlines depending on the player's choices and the social position of the player character (therefore having high replay value). I enjoyed it quite a bit, though the premise certainly lends itself to a longer, more complex gamebook. Who knows, maybe the author can be persuaded to write one in the future... |
