| Demian's Thoughts: |
This is a strange end to the series. Published more than two years after the previous volume, it features a new look for the cover and better paper stock (acid-free, my copy is still perfectly white while the rest of the series is yellowing with age). However, while the changes seem to signal a new beginning, this was the end of the line for the series. Not surprising, as the content of this book is really nothing new -- although the book has two very different storylines (one involving a fantasy world, the other involving a trip to your mother's childhood), it doesn't really stand out from the rest of the series, and in spite of some good ideas, it isn't especially memorable. |
