It's easy to find fault with this set: the characterization is weak, many battles seem unreasonably easy, and the whole thing amounts to aimless wandering in a dungeon. In spite of that, I enjoyed it -- dungeon crawls tend to be fun even if they don't make a whole lot of sense, and it's hard to complain about a chance to explore rooms, battle monsters and collect treasures along the way. Although the game I played ended rather abruptly, that also means that it didn't overstay its welcome. This isn't a classic for the ages, but it's a fun diversion for two; if you don't set your expectations too high, you should have a good time with it. |
