These Lost Worlds style books are based on the Battletech miniatures board game. Each book represents a different giant robot (called a BattleMech), and any two of them may battle one another. The rules are essentially the same as Lost Worlds but considerably more complex. As before, players simultaneously decide on their actions, then use cross-referencing and page-turning to find the results. However, while doing this, it is also necessary to keep track of the 'Mech's heat level and ammunition, and there are additional rules for allowing the 'Mech's pilot to gain in experience and skill over the course of several battles. Terrain cards can optionally be used to add even further detail to the game.
