This project was funded by several Kickstarter campaigns. Based on various public domain properties these gamebooks put a horror-fairy tale twist on childrens' classics.
The first book allows for standard-style play with dice or an innovative randomisation method that employs a specially-created deck of Alice playing cards. The second and third books employ character stat bookmarks to allow play as any one of several characters. Book 4 is only playable with a single character, the titular Beowulf, though there is an Easter egg, where you can play as a different character.
Colouring Books featuring Kev Crossley's illustrations were also released to accompany the first two gamebooks.
