I'm really not sure about the story behind this annual. It looks very cheaply produced with the first story lasting 7 pages and 21 sections. It features the kids from the D&D cartoon and the Dungeon Master. The basic quest is to defeat a troglodyte which is terrorizing some villages whom they pursue into the mine of terror. It involves a primitive system in which you roll dice for challenges (6 or better a good result, 5 or fewer a bad result). The artwork is not even up to the cartoon's standards, looking more like something produced for a fanzine. I think the blonde guy is supposed to be Ranger Hank but I'm not really sure. And this was just the first story in the "annual". |
