This game has a long history -- for more information, see the Wikipedia article. It was first implemented in FOCAL by Richard Merrill. It was later translated into BASIC by David H. Ahl and published in BASIC Computer Games (New York, Workman 1978). This Javascript adaptation of the BASIC translation uses the MooTools framework and was written by Demian Katz with the author's permission.

This program was converted primarily to help with the development of the input() method of my BASIC.IO class.
